Major Responsibilities:

• Design, code, and modify websites from layout to function according to specifications, creating visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.
• Regularly update and maintain existing websites, including content updates, performance optimizations, and security patches.
• Work closely with web designers and stakeholders to match visual design intent and to ensure website functionality and alignment with the company's digital strategy.
• Test websites across browsers, operating systems, and devices to ensure accessibility and responsiveness. Debug issues as they arise.
• Implement SEO strategies to improve traffic and website performance metrics.
• Enhance user experience and ensure website accessibility for all users, including compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to apply best practices in web development and security.

Skills and Techniques:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with at least one server-side programming language (e.g., PHP, Python).
• Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue for front-end; Node.js, Django for back-end) and version control tools (e.g., Git).
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles to ensure websites function well on any device.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex development challenges.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in web development, evidenced by a portfolio of completed projects.
• Knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and usability principles.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and web analytics tools is a plus.
